13 January 10To all Newbury Stags RFC players,
As we move into the second half of our league program in Southern Counties North it is important that we, as a group, set objectives and requirements for the remaining half of the league campaign.
We have therefore called a players meeting that will be held prior to training on Tuesday 19th January, please arrive at the club by 6.45pm. This meeting will be chaired by Graham Stewart and Paddy Byrne.
Training will be held as normal by Craig Greener after this meeting. We need every member of the squad (fit or inured) to attend this meeting, so please make every effort to be there. All apologies should be sent in advance to Nigel Beal or Paddy Byrne.

Important - Players Meeting
05 January 10The club have cancelled all training tomorrow night due to frozen pitches. Therefore we are calling a Players Meeting. This will be used to discuss any recent rumours regarding coaching and also to set objectives and expectations for the rest of the season. Whether you are fit or injured, please make every effort to attend this 30 minute meeting - 7pm.
Training Schedule

The session will last for 2 hours from 7pm until 9pm. Last training session will be 15th of December.

21 June 09In addition to the Heineken 10-a-side competition at NRFC on the 22nd of August. We will also be hosting Old Actonians on the 29th of August and Tadley on the 5th of September.
Our league campaign then kicks off a week later with a trip to Chipping Norton.

Update
08 January 09Weather permitting we will train Tuesday and Thursday this week in preperation for SUNDAY's cup quarter final against Bracknell.
All training at the club has been cancelled this evening (8th Jan).
Wheatley have very disappointingly decided (again) that they don't want to play us leaving us with no game this weekend. Weather conditions also suggest that the ground will be too hard to play on anyway so we are not persuing a replacement fixture.

The boys ran out with the match ball before the game, then got their pictures taken with the Captains. They even helped with running on with the kicking tee during the game!

Physio team: Full physio is available to all Newbury Stags RFC playing members on training nights and match days (we even throw in the tape!).
Our first league match of the new season is against Oxford RFC on 13th September 2008. Prior to this we have arranged a pre-season 15 a side tournament at Newbury on 30th August, check the website for more details later in the summer.
